52-year-old Masoud Ghattas was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Rania Adel Sawers, near Bailey Parkway on May 26th. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with Ghattas, who stated that he and Sawers had argued while driving. Ghattas said the argument had led to him striking Sawers multiple times in the face and chest. Ghattas had initially claimed he did not know who hit who first but then admitted to hitting Sawers first. Officers observed a bloody lip on Sawers, and Ghattas was taken into custody for domestic assault.
Masoud Ghattas was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on May 26th, charged with domestic assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,000.
