33-year-old Daniel Tucker was involved in a car crash on July 13th. When officers arrived, a witness stated that Tucker swerved off the roadway and into a ditch. The witness said that he administered Narcan to Tucker because it seemed that he was overdosing. Officers then approached Tucker, who was still near his vehicle. Once officers got close to the car, they saw Tucker on the driver’s side looking for something. They told him to leave his car and come to them on the road. Tucker obliged, but it seemed like he was unsteady and couldn’t maintain his balance. Once Tucker was out of the ditch, officers began speaking with him. While officers interacted with Tucker, they observed other signs of impairment. During questioning, Tucker confessed to taking Suboxone. Tucker said he takes it every morning and took one this morning before driving. During a search of Tucker, officers discovered a scratched-off pill bottle in his left pocket with six pill bottles inside. Through further investigation, it was found that Tucker also had a suspended license. Tucker was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, possession of a legend drug, and unlawful possession.
