31-year-old Lisbeth Arango Alvarez left her dog in her vehicle unattended at the Opry Mills Mall parking lot on the afternoon of June 12th. A customer alerted security, advising them that a dog had been left in a car without air conditioning or water access. When the police located the vehicle, they observed the canine panting heavily inside the car. Officers noted that the car emitted a significant amount of heat, so they opened it up through the slightly cracked window and removed the dog. After getting Alvarez’s dog out of the car, it consumed an entire water bottle. Once Alvarez returned to her vehicle, she told police that she had only been inside the mall for a short period of time. She was then cited for the occurrence that day. Alvarez was later booked on the citation of animal cruelty on July 9th.

Thank God a bystander saved this dog’s life by alerting police. This POS should never have that dog returned and I better hear she ended up in court.
