42-year-old Adam Shearer had a domestic altercation with his wife, Renee Shearer, around 4:30 a.m. on August 20th. Renee told responding officers that she and Adam had an argument over his cell phone, which led to a scuffle. She further explained that Adam hit her first and that she only retaliated in self-defense.
When the police spoke with Adam, he also confirmed they had a verbal dispute about his phone but stated that Renee hit him first. Officers observed that Adam had a cut on top of his head and that Renee had a large bump on her forehead. Due to Renee calling 911, Adam was deemed to be the primary aggressor and was detained for the incident. Adam Shearer was taken into custody for domestic assault.
Adam M. Shearer of 25th Avenue North in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 20th, charged with domestic assault. He is free on a $1,000 bond.
