Dylan Hampton resists arrest after arguing with employees at Mother’s Ruin

27-year-old Dylan Rance Hampton had an altercation with a security guard at Mother’s Ruin late August 29th. When officers arrived, they spoke with the location’s employees. The employees stated that Hampton refused to leave the property and had to be escorted out. They added that Hampton had a scuffle with an employee before leaving the scene. Then, the employees advised officers that Hampton returned by entering the back gate, which is not a public entrance. After this, the police located Hampton, who was inside arguing with other employees, and detained him.

While arresting him, Hampton resisted by pulling his arms forward and telling officers he did not want his arms behind his back. Following a brief struggle, officers placed him in handcuffs and escorted him to the patrol car. As police escorted Hampton, he showed signs of impairment and dragged his feet. The employees at the business informed the police that they wanted to press charges for the occurrence. Hampton was taken into custody for resisting arrest, public intoxication, and criminal trespass on August 30th.

Dylan R. Hampton of Glendorch Lane in Athens, AL, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 30th, charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and criminal trespassing. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $700, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
