19-year-old Jaila Root was caught with marijuana in her TSU campus apartment on August 10th. The housing director contacted TSU police, stating he found a small amount of marijuana. The housing director explained that while he was doing room checks, he found 14 grams of marijuana.
Shortly after, Root arrived and admitted that marijuana was hers. TSU police cited her for the violation that day. Root was later booked on the citation of simple possession on August 19th.
Jaila Monet Root of N 57th Ave in Omaha, NE, was booked on a citation on August 19th, charged with possession or casual exchange.
