53-year-old Steven Shevel, owner of Shevel’s Inside & Out Home Repair, was involved in a hit-and-run on I-40 on September 23rd, 2022. When officers arrived, they came into contact with the other involved driver, Ashley Page. Officers received Shevel’s vehicle registration and tags during their interaction with Page.
Later, on November 15th, 2022, officers met with Page to identify Shevel from a photo lineup. During the lineup, Page positively identified Shevel as the hit-and-run driver. Shevel was later taken into custody and charged with leaving the scene of an incident, failing to give information, and financial responsibility on August 14th.
Steven Shevel of Hickory Ridge Drive in Lebanon, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 14th, charged with leaving the scene of and accident, failure to give information and financial reasonability violation. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
