48-year-old Scott Comment was seen assaulting Kelvin Roberts at Tootsies Orchid Lounge on Broadway on August 23rd. When officers arrived, they noticed Comment was already in handcuffs by security. Officers then spoke with Roberts, who informed them that Comment was asked to leave the business, which upset him and started an argument.
Roberts claims that as they escorted Comment out of the building, Comment grabbed him by his shirt and punched him in the face. Officers observed camera footage, and it shows Comment punching Roberts outside of the entrance to Tootsies. Officers then spoke with Comment about the incident. During their interaction, officers noticed the strong smell of alcohol coming from Comment’s breath. Comment was then deemed the primary aggressor and taken into custody for assault.
Scott Jeremy Comment of Pleasant Street in Marine City, MI, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 23rd, charged with assault. He is free on a $2,500 bond.
