53-year-old Darren John Clark had an altercation with Benjamin Hayden Stewart while working at The Stage on Broadway late May 11th. Security at the establishment separated them before officers arrived. Clark told officers he had two drinks by the stairs, and when he turned around, Stewart threw them away. This prompted Clark to follow and confront Stewart, which led to a scuffle, where he punched Stewart in the face, leaving visible injuries. Stewart provided officers with a similar statement before advising them that he wanted to prosecute for the attack. Clark was taken into custody for assault on May 12th.

Mr. Clark did not leave his drinks by the stairs. He left them in the sound booth. And was told by the sound engineer (me) three times to remove them. Mr. Clark chose to ignore my requests, and so I threw his drinks in the trash can, resulting an immediate assault by Mr. Clark. There was no confrontation, no scuffle, just Mr. Clark assaulting me, an employee trying to do his job. Glad he got out on pre-trial release, who knows maybe he’ll show back up to my place of work to assault me again.
