44-year-old Martinez Wilder was stopped after officers observed him driving a boat at the Percy Priest Lake after sunset on August 31st. When the officers approached Wilder, they reported that it was apparent that he was disoriented. Wilder struggled to comprehend and follow the officer’s instructions. Additionally, it was noted that Wilder had an odor that smelled like an alcoholic beverage. This was corroborated by Wilder’s own admission of having consumed alcohol. Initially, Wilder claimed he hadn’t consumed any alcohol when questioned by the officers. However, he soon changed his statement, first admitting to having one drink and then acknowledging he had consumed two alcoholic beverages. Wilder was then prompted to perform sobriety tests, which he performed poorly on. Wilder was then taken into custody and charged with boating under the influence on September 1st.

DUI: Jermiaha Smith smokes with 1-year-old child in vehicle while driving with no lights on

19-year-old Jermiaha Smith was seen driving under the influence at an intersection of Gallatin Pike South and Hickory Street on August 31st. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the intersection after they observed a black truck driving with its headlights and taillights off at night. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed a 1-year-old child in the vehicle’s backseat. Officers then made contact with Smith and noticed she was smoking a tobacco product. When asked, Smith claimed to officers that she was not smoking marijuana but later admitted that about an hour and 45 minutes prior, she had smoked marijuana. Officers also noticed a bag of marijuana in plain sight in the center console that Smith informed officers was hers. Smith was then asked to step out of the vehicle and perform sobriety tests, which she accepted. However, she performed poorly on all tests given and showed numerous indicators of impairment. Officers then searched her vehicle, and the search yielded 20 grams of marijuana that were inside her vehicle. Smith was deemed to be intoxicated, and she was then taken into custody for driving under the influence with a child and possession of a controlled substance on September 1st.

Marissa Godorov “goes crazy” on ex-boyfriend after breaking up with him at The Doubletree Hotel

36-year-old Marissa Godorov had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Clay Biran Meyer, at The Doubletree Hotel on 4th Avenue North in the early hours of September 1st. Before officers arrived, dispatch advised them that Godorov called the front desk, stating that her Meyer had just hit her, and she was scared. When the police arrived, they spoke with the hotel staff. They stated that Godorov had come up to the desk, telling them she did not want officers involved because she feared that Meyer would hurt her. Then, officers spoke with Godorov, who said that she and Meyer were downtown after she had broken up with him the day before. She added that he had gotten too drunk again. She went into detail, stating that once they returned to the hotel, they started arguing about Meyer’s drinking habits and their relationship issues.

Godorov further explained that Meyer started recording her. She attempted to take his phone from him, which led to him pushing her off the bed. Then, when the police spoke with Meyer, he told them that when he and Godorov returned to the hotel, she started “going crazy on him.” Meyer stated that he started recording her because he was scared that she would call the police and he would get arrested based on her story. Officers reviewed the footage, which showed Godorov yelling at Meyer before striking him in the back of his head. Officers also noticed fresh nail marks on Meyer’s right arm. Godorov was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Paul Zerbe drunkenly walks around knocking on doors at Motel 6

42-year-old Paul Zerbe was seen publicly intoxicated after knocking on people’s doors while at Motel 6 on Cartwright Street on September 1st. When the officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Zerbe. They asked him if he had a room at the motel and why he was downstairs, knocking on people’s doors. However, Zerbe refused to answer questions, could not keep his balance, and stumbled on the second-floor balcony. Zerbe also admitted to the officers that he was intoxicated and could not remember things. Due to Zerbe being a danger to himself, he was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Janet Melo vomits on herself in patrol car after getting too drunk at Honky Tonk Central

28-year-old Janet Melo was seen acting disorderly while at Honky Tonk Central on Broadway on September 1st. Officers were alerted by the security staff at the bar to a situation involving a woman who was drunk and disorderly. Upon arrival, the officers observed that Melo’s boyfriend, Fredy Higuera Carillo, was already in custody. Officers also noticed Melo herself was engaged in an argument with the security staff. According to the security staff, Melo had assaulted several members of the staff after she and her boyfriend were asked to leave due to their excessive intoxication. Melo had refused to leave and became physically aggressive, striking the staff. Additionally, the officers noticed that Melo had bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred speech, and could not maintain her balance. Melo was placed under arrest, and while being transported, she vomited on herself multiple times. Melo was later charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Fredy Higuera Carillo becomes extremely aggressive after passing out in Honky Tonk Central bathroom

23-year-old Fredy Higuera Carillo was seen publicly intoxicated while at Honky Tonk Central on Broadway on September 1st. Officers were flagged down by security staff from the bar regarding a drunk and disorderly man. When officers arrived on the scene, they noticed Carillo was already detained and in handcuffs. Officers then spoke with security, who stated that Carillo and his girlfriend, Janet Melo, were both asked to leave. Security added that they found Carillo passing out and vomiting in the bathroom. Security informed officers that when Carillo was asked to leave, he became extremely aggressive and combative with staff. This led them to handcuff him so he would not assault anyone else. Carillo was then taken into custody by police and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Eric Watson beats up father for offering to take shot of alcohol with him

23-year-old Eric Watson was involved in an altercation with his father, Troy Watson, at their Ocala Drive residence on September 1st. Officers met with Troy, who informed them that he and Eric had been heavily drinking. Troy stated that when he offered Eric to take a shot of alcohol together, he refused, which ultimately led to an argument. Troy alleged that during the argument, Eric punched him in the face multiple times. While interacting with Troy, officers reported that he had sustained a bloody nose as well as a minor cut to his eye and bruising around the top of his head. Troy was later transported to Vanderbilt for his injuries.

Officers later made contact with Eric, who stated that when he refused to take a shot with his father, he became agitated and knocked his phone out of his hand. Eric told officers that this was when he punched his father. Officers determined that Eric was the primary aggressor. Eric Watson was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Reghan Oneill drunkenly insults officers as they attempt to help her on Broadway

21-year-old Reghan Oneill was visibly intoxicated on Broadway late August 31st. Oneill approached officers and told them she did not know where she was. During their interaction, they noticed she reeked of alcohol and showed signs of impairment. Oneill also dropped her cell phone several times and could not properly use it without police assistance. Officers spent about an hour attempting to call her friends to get her. However, according to the police, her friends were unruly and were not much help over the phone. Eventually, the police convinced her friends to take an Uber to their location. However, they took over thirty minutes to get there. Before her friends arrived, Oneill was deemed unable to care for herself as she continuously insulted officers. Oneill was then taken into custody for public intoxication on September 1st.

Payton Allen steals man’s Taurus handgun while helping him work on his car

25-year-old Payton Allen was caught stealing a Taurus G3C 9mm handgun from Damion Jackson on July 7th. When Jackson made contact with law enforcement, he stated that Allen was at his residence helping with the work he was doing on his car. Jackson said that he briefly left to go get food. Jackson explained that while he was gone, Allen sent him a text stating that he had to leave for a family emergency. Once Jackson returned, he discovered the bag containing his handgun, which he had left outside, was missing. Jackson later located the bag inside his car but found that his firearm was missing. Footage from Jackson’s Ring camera displayed Allen walking over to where the bag was and moving it out of the camera’s view. Officers viewed the footage and determined that Allen stole Jackson’s firearm. Allen was then taken into custody and charged with theft of a firearm on August 22nd.
