Jenny Rodriguez leaves 3-year-old child home alone to get gas

41-year-old Jenny Rodriguez left her child at their Murfreesboro Pike apartment residence by herself on June 19th. Officers were dispatched to the apartment regarding a 3-year-old who was crying and was found by a neighbor in front of her apartment door. When officers arrived, Rodriguez returned to the location and spoke with officers, claiming that her daughter was asleep. She explained that she did not want to wake her daughter up to go to the gas station. Rodriguez informed them that she had left but was only gone for about 30 minutes before she returned. Rodriguez also claimed that she was gone for so long because she only had cash, and none of the nearby gas stations were open to sell her gas. Rodriguez had family that lived below her apartment that could have cared for the child; however, she did not ask them to do so. Officers believe Rodriguez knowingly left her child home alone, which could have resulted in injury to her child, so she was cited for the incident that day. Rodriguez was later booked for child endangerment on July 9th.

June Watson breaks $1,200 gas pump screen at Circle K

23-year-old June Watson was seen vandalizing a Circle K on Murfreesboro Pike on July 15th. Officers were dispatched to Circle K for a woman who was allegedly throwing rocks at cars. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with an employee of Circle K, who stated that Watson had been sitting at fuel pump six, throwing rocks at vehicles. The employee then informed officers that Watson also hit the gasoline pump screen, shattering it. Officers then spoke with another witness, the manager of Circle K, who told officers that she wanted to prosecute for the damages done. She stated that it would cost $1,200 to fix the screen. While the witnesses described Watson to officers, they observed Watson walking across the street. Officers then contacted Watson at a nearby Walgreens across the street, where they identified and detained her. Officers took her back to Circle K, where she was confirmed to be the woman throwing rocks. Watson was taken into custody for vandalism on July 16th.

Anthony Douglass assaults girlfriend for not giving him her phone in Taco Bell

25-year-old Anthony Douglass was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Glenna Fuston,in Taco Bell on Murfreesboro Pike on July 13th. Officers arrived at the Taco Bell for a call for service and made contact with the Taco Bell manager. The manager of Taco Bell informed officers that a Caucasian man and woman had come into the restaurant arguing and that it seemed like the female was running away from him. The couple, identified as Douglass and Fuston, were not on the scene when officers arrived. While leaving the Taco Bell, officers were then flagged down by an off-duty officer who told them the two were waiting near La Luna Bakery also on Murfreesboro Pike. Officers then went to the location, found Douglass and Fuston, then spoke with Fuston. She claimed that she and Douglass had gotten into a verbal altercation over a phone. Fuston said she was walking away from Douglass when he pulled on her backpack. After this, officers noticed numerous scratches and bruises on Fuston’s arm, and when asked, Fuston admitted they were from Douglass pulling her backpack. When officers spoke with Douglass, he made similar statements, admitting he wanted her phone, so he pulled her bag as she walked away. Due to the injuries and statements made, Douglass was deemed the primary aggressor. Douglass was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Brandy Paull blacks out behind Knights Inn after snorting heroin

42-year-old Brandy Paull was seen publicly intoxicated behind Knights Inn on Bell Road on July 14th. Officers received a report of an unconscious woman behind a nearby motel who was not breathing. When officers arrived on the scene, they located Paull, who was lying unconscious in the parking lot. Paull was then given two doses of Narcan before she woke up. Upon waking up, paramedics told Paull that she almost died and suggested she be taken to a hospital in case the Narcan wore off. However, Paull refused any medical assistance and told officers that she had snorted heroin before blacking out. When officers found Paull, she had no shoes, phone, wallet, or identification. Officers deemed Paull to be a danger to herself, so she was then taken into custody for public intoxication on July 15th.

Tyler Morris assaults wife during argument at Cambria Hotel

45-year-old Tyler Morris was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Nicole Morris, at the Cambria Hotel on 8th Avenue Street on July 13th. When the officers arrived, they made contact with Nicole and immediately noticed a laceration on the right side of her head. Nicole told officers that she had gotten into an argument with Tyler. During this argument, she claimed she had fallen, which caused the injury to her head. When asked, Nicole further stated that Tyler did not assault or threaten her during the altercation. Officers then spoke with Tyler, who claimed that during the argument, Nicole attempted to hit him with a curling iron by swinging it at him. Tyler claimed that, in response to Nicole swinging the curling iron, he put his forearm up in defense and pushed Nicole away. This caused her to fall and hit her head on a wall corner. Both parties seemed intoxicated while speaking with officers, and neither wanted to prosecute. However, officers deemed Tyler to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: Andrew Cloyd blocks Exit 49 off ramp after drinking 6 beers

22-year-old Andrew Cloyd was seen driving under the influence near I-24 East on the Exit 49 off ramp on June 5th. When officers arrived, they noticed a vehicle blocking the ramp with apparent signs of damage. Officers then approached the vehicle and spoke with Cloyd. Officers immediately noticed the extreme odor of alcohol coming from him and his vehicle. Officers then asked Cloyd how much he had drank. Cloyd admitted to having consumed 6 beers and 2 screwdriver mixed drinks. Officers then asked Cloyd how drunk he was, and Cloyd stated he was about an eight out of ten. Cloyd was then taken into custody and cited for driving under the influence. Cloyd was then admitted for driving under the influence on July 12th.

DUI: Michael Lamb attempts to remove his license plate after crashing into utility pole

35-year-old Michael Lamb was arrested for driving under the influence after being involved in a car accident on Higdon Road on July 11th. When officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with Lamb. Officers then immediately noticed the smell of alcohol coming from his breath. Officers also observed Lamb’s unsteadiness on his feet, watery eyes, and slurred speech. Lamb was taken into custody as officers suspected him of being intoxicated. While in custody, Lamb explained that his front bumper had fallen off, causing him to spin and crash into a mailbox, ultimately hitting a utility pole. Witnesses of the crash informed officers that they saw Lamb attempting to remove his license plate to conceal it before the officers arrived. Upon searching Lamb’s vehicle, officers found several open small jars of moonshine and detected the smell of alcohol. Lamb refused to perform sobriety tests as well as the implied consent. Officers also discovered that Lamb did not have a valid driver’s license due to a prior DUI conviction. As a result, Lamb was charged with DUI and driving without a license on July 12th.

Erin O’Connell grabs roommate during altercation, tells police she wasn’t paying rent

41-year-old Erin O’Connell was involved in a domestic altercation with his roommate, Erika Covac, at their  Hickory Brook Drive residence on July 11th. Officers spoke with O’Connell over the phone, and she told them she wanted Covac to leave her house. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke to Covac, who stated that O’Connell had grabbed her wrist, causing an injury. Officers observed the injury; however, Covac denied any medical treatment. Officers then spoke with O’Connell, who stated that Covac had been living there since March but had not paid any rent and was not on the lease. O’Connell told officers that she wanted Covac out of the house and physically grabbed her. While speaking with officers, she admitted to assaulting Covac, saying, “I know I should not have done that.” Officers then determined O’Connell to be the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Patrick Finney assaults woman & steals her keys after sleeping with her

29-year-old Patrick Finney was involved in a domestic altercation with  Prenciss Crowder, one of his sexual partners, at her Ireland Street residence on June 15th. Officers spoke with Crowder over the phone, and she claimed that a friend she has sexual relations with stole from and assaulted her. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with  Crowder again. Crowder stated that on the day before, June 14th, she had Finney visit her residence. She said they then began drinking and had consensual intercourse. Crowder claims that when she woke up this morning, she noticed her door was locked but knew she was not the one who had locked it. Crowder then noticed that her house key was missing from her key ring and informed officers that Finney did not have permission to take it. Crowder then went to get her key back from Finney by going to his 16th Avenue North property. Crowder then told officers that when she knocked on the door, Finney aggressively opened the door and pushed her away with two hands, causing her to hit the guard rail. Finney then proceeded to grab Crowder’s arms and drag her downstairs. Finney then shoved her against a car and told her to “chill out.”  Finney then returned to the residence, and Crowder returned to her home, where she called the police. Crowder also told officers that she was afraid of Finney because he made threats to her before, and she felt like he was capable of killing her. Officers observed an injury to Crowder, and Finney was deemed the primary aggressor. A warrant was issued for Finney that day. Finney was later taken into custody for domestic assault and theft on July 11th.

Lakota Hall caught with 8 pounds of marijuana in suitcase at Nashville International Airport

24-year-old Lakota Hall was caught with 8 pounds of marijuana while at the Nashville International Airport on July 10th. Officers were investigating a flight from Los Angeles, California, scheduled to arrive in Nashville. When officers arrived, they deployed their narcotics-detecting K-9, Peggy, to sniff luggage. During the deployment, Peggy showed a change in behavior to a purple suitcase that displayed Hall’s name. Officers approached Hall, identified him, and asked if the bag was his. Once Hall admitted the bag was his, he consented to a bag search, telling officers to “open it up.” Upon searching Hall’s bag, officers located seven vacuum-sealed bags that contained marijuana. Also in the suitcase was another vacuum-sealed bag that contained eight 1-gram jars of marijuana, two 80-gram packages of THC edibles, one 50-gram package of edibles containing a total of 100 mg of THC, and five pre-rolled joints. The total weight of the marijuana was eight pounds. Hall was then detained and taken into custody for possession with intent to sell.
