Masoud Ghattas punches wife in face multiple times during argument

52-year-old Masoud Ghattas was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Rania Adel Sawers, near Bailey Parkway on May 26th. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with Ghattas, who stated that he and Sawers had argued while driving. Ghattas said the argument had led to him striking Sawers multiple times in the face and chest. Ghattas had initially claimed he did not know who hit who first but then admitted to hitting Sawers first. Officers observed a bloody lip on Sawers, and Ghattas was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Ben Walker hits man in head with frying pan during altercation

43-year-old Ben Walker was involved in a domestic incident with Ali Hassam at a Carl Avenue residence on May 26th. Walker had called officers two times when he had first called. He had injuries and was transported to the hospital, and officers were unable to further assist with prosecution. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Walker, who admitted to assaulting Hassan with a pan. Walker showed officers the pan, which had a dent in it. Walker explained why he hit Hassan, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Eugenia Nelson knocks sister into oncoming traffic, says she was “just trying to save Barstool security”

29-year-old Eugenia Nelson was involved in a domestic altercation with her sister, Jada Wheeler, near John Siegenthaler Pedestrian Bridge on Second Avenue on May 26th. Officers observed Wheeler upset at another officer after she had been kicked out of a bar. Officers thought she was leaving when they saw Wheeler walk towards Nelson and begin arguing with her. They then observed Nelson swing on Wheeler, who fell back into oncoming traffic. Officers then made contact with Wheeler and Nelson, who both stated that they were sisters and that it was okay. Nelson told officers that she was correcting her sister and was “just trying to save Barstool security” from Wheeler. Officers informed Nelson that Wheeler was nowhere near any security officers, and the hitting was unjustified, even if they were sisters. Nelson was then taken into custody for domestic assault.

Joshua Haines points finger gun at officer after being told it is illegal to carry firearms while drunk

29-year-old Joshua Haines was caught trespassing and acting disorderly at Honky Tonk Central near Broadway on May 26th. When officers arrived, they spoke with a group of males, telling them they needed to leave the premises. Haines asked officers why they were being kicked out of the bar. Officers explained that they were no longer welcome and could be asked at any point for any reason. Officers were then informed that one of the males was possibly armed before asking Haines if he was armed. Haines evaded the question, stating it was not illegal to carry a weapon. Officers then told Haines that it was illegal to carry if you were intoxicated or in a bar that had a “No Weapons Allowed” sign. Officers then conducted a pat down of all the males. Haines did not have a firearm but continued arguing with officers. Haines was asked to leave again, in which he ignored officers once more. Haines then reached into his pocket, took his hand back out, and pointed it towards officers with a finger gun motion, saying, “Yes, I have this.” Officers then took Haines into custody, charging him with disorderly conduct.

Keenan Scalf headbutts woman during argument

23-year-old Keenan Scalf was involved in a domestic incident with Brooklyn Jackson at their Harper Road residence on May 25th. When officers spoke with Jackson, she stated that she had a verbal argument with Scalf that turned physical. Jackson claims that the argument became physical when Scalf headbutted her, causing an abrasion on her lip. When officers arrived, they spoke with Scalf, who admitted that he did headbutt Jackson. Officers deemed Scalf to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: Realtor Latoria Marshall caught with 12 grams of marijuana

37-year-old Realtor Latoria Marshall was caught driving under the influence near Old Matthews Road on May 25th. Officers got behind her vehicle and observed her cross numerous lines, as well as being fully in the oncoming lane for 2-3 seconds. Proceeding this, officers initiated a traffic stop where they observed Marshall as the vehicle’s only occupant. Authorities noticed a Corona Extra beer can in the center console while speaking with Marshall. Officers then asked Marshall numerous times if she had consumed any alcohol, but initially, she would not provide an answer. When officers asked again, Marshall admitted that she had consumed one beer. Officers then asked if she would exit the vehicle to perform sobriety tests as they detected the smell of alcohol on her breath. Marshall agreed to perform the test but showed numerous indicators of intoxication. Marshall was detained for DUI, and as officers searched her vehicle, they found a bag of a green substance believed to be marijuana weighing 12.3 grams. Marshall was taken into custody for DUI and an open container of alcohol on May 26th.

Marquis Terrell booked refusing to leave Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar

30-year-old Marquis Terrell was seen publicly intoxicated at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar near Broadway Street on May 26th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the staff of the bar, who stated that they had detained Terrell due to his intoxicated behavior. Staff also informed officers that earlier in the day, they had escorted Terrell out because he was extremely intoxicated. However, he proceeded to harass other people as he got back in line. Staff then asked Terrell to exit the line once more, and he became aggressive. Terrell then got in one of the staff members’ faces and posted up in an aggressive posture. Staff then took Terrell to the ground and detained him until they flagged officers down. Officers noticed he was extremely intoxicated, as well as his inability to maintain his balance. Officers then took Terrell into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct on May 27th.

Grace Geter attacks baby-daddy with knives for kicking her out of his home

21-year-old Grace Geter was seen assaulting her ex-boyfriend, Donavon Hammonds, at an Old Franklin apartment residence on May 25th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Geter, who stated that she had been kicked out of her home. Geter claims that she was staying with Hammonds, her ex-boyfriend with whom she shares a baby, until she got back on her feet. Geter informed officers that she was pushed, hit, and forced out of the home by Hammonds.

Officers then spoke with Hammonds, who stated that he was allowing Geter to stay as a guest for a few days to find a permanent residence, but when she blocked him on social media, an argument started. Hammonds states that he then became uncomfortable with her staying there and asked her to leave. Hammonds proceeded to show officers footage of him asking Geter to leave his residence while holding their baby, in which Geter proceeded to pick up two knives, saying, “Put my baby down.” Hammonds then proceeded to give the baby to his new girlfriend and attempted to disarm Geter. During the struggle over the knives, Officers observed Hammonds lift Geter and slam her onto the floor, knocking one of the knives loose. Officers also observed Hammonds holding Geter’s arms, telling her to drop the knife in the footage, as well as Hammonds striking her twice in the head. Offices deemed Geter to be the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Throuple Trouble: Nathan Dunbar destroys girlfriend’s car with BB gun

29-year-old Nathan Dunbar was seen vandalizing property at a Barella Drive residence on May 25th. Officers spoke with Melissa Jones, Dunbar’s girlfriend, who stated that he had come to her residence and shot at her house with a BB gun. When officers arrived on the scene, they saw Jones’s vehicle in the driveway, and the back window, front passenger window, and front windshield were destroyed. Officers then spoke with Jones and a witness, Devin Buckner, who is also a boyfriend of Jones. They stated they both witnessed Dunbar shooting at Jones’ vehicle as well as grabbing a wooden plank and hitting the front windshield. Officers then received Dunbar’s address from Jones and made contact with him at his residence before placing him in custody. Dunbar then admitted to officers that he did go to Jones’s home and damage her vehicle windows and home. Dunbar was charged with vandalism.

Joshua Hylton assaults girlfriend because she “refused to listen to him” during argument

21-year-old Joshua Hylton was involved in a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Jayden Goldthreate, near Elm Hill Pike on May 25th. When officers arrived on the scene, they saw a verbal altercation taking place between Hylton and Goldthreate. Officers spoke with Hylton, who stated that he was having a verbal argument with Goldthreate. Hylton told police the argument turned physical when she tried to walk away and “refused to listen to him.” Officers then spoke with Goldthreate, who stated that they only verbally argued but claimed that Hylton had held her down. Officers then noticed minor injuries on both as well as Hylton’s ripped shirt. Hylton was also found to have a semi-automatic handgun on him as well. Officers deemed Hylton to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault.
