Arthur McQuiston Jr. booked for carrying firearm despite being convicted felon since 1998

64-year-old Arthur McQuiston Jr. was openly carrying a firearm at a Metro Park on May 12th. Officers observed this and approached him, and McQuiston told them he was the volunteer security guard at an event occurring at the park. McQuiston could not provide officers with a security license or a handgun permit. While verifying his handgun status, officers discovered he was convicted of a felony in 1998. McQuiston was taken into custody for being a felon in possession of a handgun.

Kenneth Schmitt charged after stealing vehicle

38-year-old Kenneth Ross Schmitt was taken into custody on November 14th when he was found to be in possession of car keys to a vehicle that Bryan Howse reported stolen. Schmitt was booked and charged with theft of a vehicle.
