Booster Jean Rondon-Cordova & friends steal $1,240 worth of merchandise from Coach Store

21-year-old Jean Pier Francisco Rondon-Cordova and Salvatierra Alvarado stole merchandise from Sunglass Hut at Tanger Outlet Mall on August 12th. An employee at the location, Laura Martinez, alerted the authorities and completed a report stating that two suspects, later identified as Alvarado and Rondon-Cordova, entered the store and started looking at sunglasses. Martinez said that while the female, Alvarado, asked her about the glasses, the male, Rondon-Cordova, concealed two pairs in an Adidas bag he had brought. After this, the two left without paying for $851 worth of sunglasses. Then, images of Alvarado and Rondon-Cordova were sent to South Precinct Detectives to identify them. On August 26th, officers were notified of Rondon-Cordova and Salvatierra Alvarado being at Tanger Outlet Mall. When officers arrived, they observed them and Kalex Zhaid Ramos-Baez getting into a vehicle. Officers noticed the vehicle had an obstructed plate and illegally tinted windows, so they conducted a traffic stop. After the police approached the vehicle, Ramos-Baez stated he had no driver’s license, which they later confirmed. Then, officers Mirandized and interviewed Rondon-Cordova and Alvarado. During the interview, officers alerted detectives that an Adidas bag containing Coach items was inside the vehicle, which Rondon-Cordova claimed he had stolen. Following the admission, officers went to the Coach store, where they spoke with a store manager. The store manager confirmed that Ramos-Baez, Rondon-Cordova, and Alvarado had entered the establishment and started browsing through merchandise. While Ramos-Baez looked through the store, Rondon-Cordova was observed concealing multiple items inside a bag he had brought. After gathering the merchandise, Alvarado paid for a pair of shorts. The three then left the location without paying for $1,240 worth of property. Alvarado and Rondon-Cordova were later deemed responsible for the August 12th theft at Sunglass Hut. Then, Rondon-Cordova was taken into custody for two counts of theft on August 26th.
