Derrick Dumoulin calls police multiple times while tweaking at Knights Inn Hotel

39-year-old Derrick Dumoulin called the police and told them, “Someone is pointing a gun at me and is breaking into my hotel room.” on August 24th. When officers arrived and spoke with Dumoulin, he stated that no one had tried to enter his hotel and that there was no gun. Officers had already responded to Knights Inn hotel three separate times this day because of Dumoulin. Each time law enforcement arrived, Dumoulin would tell them there was no emergency and that dispatch was not telling the truth. The day before, on August 23rd, officers had also responded to Dumoulin multiple times. Dumoulin had reported that he was in serious danger, so officers were unable to respond to other pending calls. Dumoulin was warned that he would be arrested if he continued to make false 911 calls. While officers interacted with Dumoulin, they reported he was excessively sweating, extremely paranoid, and fidgeting. After Dumoulin consented to a search of his hotel room, officers found a chore-boy inside his microwave, which they reported was commonly used for smoking narcotics. Dumoulin was then taken into custody and charged with making a non-emergency 911 call on August 25th.
