Local Business Owner Steven Shevel jailed for involvement in hit-and-run on I-40 in 2022

53-year-old Steven Shevel, owner of Shevel’s Inside & Out Home Repair, was involved in a hit-and-run on I-40 on September 23rd, 2022. When officers arrived, they came into contact with the other involved driver, Ashley Page. Officers received Shevel’s vehicle registration and tags during their interaction with Page.

Later, on November 15th, 2022, officers met with Page to identify Shevel from a photo lineup. During the lineup, Page positively identified Shevel as the hit-and-run driver. Shevel was later taken into custody and charged with leaving the scene of an incident, failing to give information, and financial responsibility on August 14th.

DUI: Crispin Alfredo causes crash on Briley Parkway after getting sauced on one beer

33-year-old Crispin Severiano Alfredo was involved in a car accident with injuries near Briley Parkway and Glastonbury Road on July 11th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with one of the drivers involved, Alfredo, noticing he showed signs of impairment. Officers noticed Alfredo reeked of alcohol and had to use a nearby pole to maintain his balance. Officers then discovered Alfredo had an open container before he admitted to consuming one beer. Alfredo consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. During the investigation, officers discovered he had no valid driver’s license or vehicle insurance. Alfredo was then taken into custody for driving under the influence, financial responsibility with injury or death, and no driver’s license.

Kylen King booked after getting into car accident with no license or insurance

25-year-old Kylen King was seen in a car accident in his 2010 Acura on Logistics Way on April 30th. When officers arrived, they spoke with King, who informed them he didn’t have a valid driver’s license or insurance. Officers cited him for the violation that day. King was later booked on the citation of no driver’s license and financial responsibility on May 21st.
