BUI: Martinez Wilder caught driving boat on Percy Priest Lake after sunset

44-year-old Martinez Wilder was stopped after officers observed him driving a boat at the Percy Priest Lake after sunset on August 31st. When the officers approached Wilder, they reported that it was apparent that he was disoriented. Wilder struggled to comprehend and follow the officer’s instructions. Additionally, it was noted that Wilder had an odor that smelled like an alcoholic beverage. This was corroborated by Wilder’s own admission of having consumed alcohol. Initially, Wilder claimed he hadn’t consumed any alcohol when questioned by the officers. However, he soon changed his statement, first admitting to having one drink and then acknowledging he had consumed two alcoholic beverages. Wilder was then prompted to perform sobriety tests, which he performed poorly on. Wilder was then taken into custody and charged with boating under the influence on September 1st.

Peter Malk caught boating without life vest on Percy Priest Lake

25-year-old Peter Maged Malk was observed boating without wearing a lifejacket at Percy Priest Lake on April 20th. The police noticed this and conducted a stop, during which they cited him for the violation. Malk failed to appear in court by June 7th, so on June 10th, his bond was forfeited.  Malk was later taken into custody and charged with a boating violation on August 31st.

BUI: Jordan Klatt drives his boat without navigational lights on Percy Priest Lake

32-year-old Jordan Klatt was seen driving his boat without navigational lights past sunset on June 15 at Percy Priest Lake. Officers stopped the vessel to explain why Klatt needed his lights on. After being asked multiple times, Klatt attempted to give officers the vessel safety equipment they requested. As Klatt walked around his boat, officers observed signs of intoxication and noticed he reeked of alcohol. At that time, Klatt was asked to board law enforcement’s ship to perform sobriety tests. After agreeing, Jordan Klatt performed poorly on all given tests, so he was taken into custody and charged with boating under the influence on June 16th.
