Vanessa Sylvester punches woman in face, threatens to take homeless man’s dog on Broadway

36-year-old Vanessa Sylvester fought at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row on June 22nd. When officers arrived, the victim said that while she was talking to a homeless man about his dog, Sylvester got aggressive with her, got into her face, and told her that she was going to take the homeless individual’s dog. The victim told Sylvester to back up, but Sylvester continued to get into her face until she was pushed away. Once pushed, Sylvester punched the victim in her eye, leaving a lump on the side of her face. When officers made contact with the homeless individual, they stated that Sylvester was the aggressor during the entire confrontation but added that they never saw her throw a punch. Officers were later provided surveillance footage of the incident from Lucky’s Bastard. It showed the victim sitting with the homeless individual, then Sylvester came up to them and began yelling. The victim is seen trying to calm down Sylvester, but is later seen pushing Sylvester after she gets in her face. That is when Sylvester punched the victim. Officers cited her for the violation that day. Sylvester was later booked on the citation assault on July 19th.
