Sara Toppert jumps on top of mother & punches her during altercation at The Cambria Hotel

33-year-old Sara Michelle Toppert had a domestic incident with her mother, Doreen Seager, at The Cambria Hotel on 8th Avenue South in the early hours of September 5th. Upon arrival, Toppert told officers that she and Seager had a verbal dispute. Then, Toppert said that Seager was extremely intoxicated and had slapped her in the face twice. Toppert added that Seager jumped on top of her, strangled her, and poured the remaining liquid from a glass on her.

Then, when the police spoke with Seager, she told them that Toppert had been drinking all day and was on drugs. Seager added that during their verbal altercation, she tried grabbing Toppert’s phone from her. She stated that Toppert retaliated by physically attacking her. Seager went into detail, stating that Toppert jumped on her while she was in bed. Once on top of Seager, Toppert punched her in the face, knee, stomach, and back before throwing a glass at her. Seager informed officers that she wanted to press charges for the occurrence and showed them her visible injuries. She said that Toppert had also made several statements about how she was “going to kill her” with either a knife or gun. Toppert was taken into custody for domestic assault.
